Bosley Physicians with Multiple Offices Coverage
Steven L Crawshaw, M.D., F.A.C.S.Steven L. Crawshaw, M.D., graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dickinson College, Pennsylvania, and received his M.D. from Pennsylvania State University. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at the East Carolina University.
From 1984 to 1996, Dr. Crawshaw practiced General and Vascular Surgery in Salisbury, Maryland. He was Staff Surgeon and then Director of Trauma at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, and Staff Surgeon at Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, Maryland.
In 1996, Dr. Crawshaw elected to practice hair restoration surgery exclusively and affiliated with Bosley- the World's leader in Hair Restoration Practice. Following his training with hair transplantation pioneer L. Lee Bosley, M.D. and from other experienced M.D.s at Bosley, Dr. Crawshaw assumed leadership of the Houston surgical office, until late 2010. Dr. Crawshaw is currently affiliated with Bosley on part-time basis.
Dr. Crawshaw is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Prior to joining Bosley, Dr. Crawshaw was a board certified Surgeon of the American Board of Surgery, which he is now a Diplomate of. He is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in Texas, California, Washington, Illinois and New York.
Stephen Leonard, M.D., F.A.C.S., I.S.H.R.S.Stephen Leonard, M.D., (F.A.C.S.) is a board-certified Surgeon who received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College in Ohio, cum laude, in 1967 and his M.D. from the Duke University School of Medicine in 1973.
He completed a surgical internship and residency at the New York Hospital- Cornell University Medical Center from 1973 through 1978. Following that, between 1978 and 1979, Dr. Leonard did his fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Ohio State University and St. Anthony Hospital in Columbus Ohio.
Following his post graduate residencies, Dr. Leonard served as a Staff Surgeon in the INA Healthplan of Arizona, as well as other hospitals in Arizona and New Jersey (from 1979 to 1982), specializing in general and vascular surgery.
Between 1982 and 1983, Dr. Leonard was an Assistant Professor of Surgery (general and vascular surgery) at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester, MA, and the Assistant Chief of Surgery at the Worcester City Hospital. From 1983 to 1993, he was in private practice in vascular surgery and aviation medicine in Mesa, AZ.
In 1993, Dr. Leonard joined Bosley Medical Group. He performed hair transplantation at Bosley surgical offices in Beverly Hills, CA, Atlanta, GA, and Boca Raton, FL from 1993 to 2003, and now provides coverage in other offices as needed. Dr. Leonard is licensed to practice medicine in the states of New York, Ohio, Arizona, New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, Georgia, Illinois, Texas, Washington, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Minnesota and Colorado.
Dr. Stephen Leonard is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He belongs to several prestigious professional organizations including: the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the Aerospace Medical Association, the Civil Aviation Medical Association, the Rocky Mountain Vascular Surgical Society and is Chairman of the Aeromedical Advisory Council of the Experimental Aircraft Association).
Dr. Leonard was a Flight Surgeon in the US Air Force Reserve from 1984-1994, assigned to an F-16 fighter squadron, and is an FAA designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. He holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate with type ratings in Learjets and Cessna Citations.
David L. Phillips, M.D., FACSDr. David Phillips has been helping Bosley patients achieve their hair restoration goals for nearly 20 years. He brought to Bosley an impressive background of nearly 30 years experience as a physician and surgeon. Prior to joining Bosley in 1992, Dr. Phillips practiced general surgery in Rumford, Maine after surgical training at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Dr. Phillips received his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine. Over the next 7 years, he completed his internship, 2 years of primary care, and his surgical residency. Dr. Phillips has received certification by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Surgery. He later did post graduate training at the Lahey Clinic in Boston. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. Reserves as Captain, from 1964-1971.
Dr. Phillips had attained medical licensees in 15 states. His professional memberships have included the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, American College of Surgeons, Maine Chapter of American College of Surgeons (past president), American Society of General Surgeons, Maine Medical Association (past president), Maine Vascular Society, Massachusetts Medical Society, Suffolk County Medical Society, Pine Tree Organization for Professional Standards Review, Inc. (PSRO for Maine) (past president, and Society for American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
