Dr. Roy Jones earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wichita State University and his Medical Degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he completed his 5-year General Surgery Residency.Following his residency, Dr.Jones entered the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of Major, and was Chief of Surgery at the USAF Hospital Wurtsmith, Michigan. Between 1981 and 1997 Dr. Jones practiced General Surgery in Illinois, Nevada and Arizona.In 1998, Dr. Jones chose to enter the hair transplantation field full time when he joined the New Hair Institute. Later, he joined Hair Club for Men and became the first surgeon performing hair transplants for Hair Club, practicing in San Jose, California, Phoenix, Arizona and finally in Houston, Texas. In mid-2013 he joined the Bosley family and is currently working in Bosley’s Dallas, Texas surgical office.With more than 30 years of general surgery and hair restoration practice to his credit he brings incredible skill , experience and attention to detail to his work in hair transplantation.Over the years, Dr. Jones has given several lectures and presentations, as well as co-authoring several publications on the topics of Follicular Unit Transplantation and Follicular Unit Extraction.He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is an active member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), where is has given two lectures at their annual meetings.Dr. Jones has medical licenses in Arizona, Texas, California, Nevada, Minnesota and Colorado.
