Not bad. But one serious decision to get your back scalp removed! I recommend using FUE or the hidden cloning technology. Staff was professional. But intolerable to requests to move neck or go to the restroom. Also, be careful of communication issues. I paid for an extra 500 grafts the morning of the procedure; yet, the staff did a hard stop at 2 pm, disposing of the remaining good grafts. The original agreed surgery time was to 2 pm. My additional $2500 purchase, gave me grafts surgery to 6 pm. 2nd Surgery for FUE; I believe the Bosley nurses did not complete job correctly intentionally. I understand they like to force completions of surgery by 2 pm. In both past surgeries, the placement of the grafts was too quick. In the current surgery, they finish within 15-30 minutes for 954 grafts. I believe they only place 200. In prior 2100 surgery, they claim to place only 48 out of the 2100 grafts. However, the Alex rep is professional and courteous. The main surgeon doctor was clear and explain the details to the surgery with ease. As for the day of the surgery, I recommend putting the graft trays in front of the patient and have them sign acceptance to the actual count. Then the patient can track each tray place on their head. And this might guarantee compliance to the number grafts place by the nurses. If the patient could see the quantity of trays place vs what remains, the patient will have a better sense of time and success.

My best assessment would be summarized like this; I spent about nine hours total with Bosley if I include the consultation and procedure time. About 90% , (maybe even a little more) of the time was a 10. The remaining time could be improved on. I would give that part a 3. The issues had to do with important parts of the experience were too rushed. Or omitted. Or not clear. The post surgery instructions were very rushed.. like the team ( which was excellent) was trying to get the day done and over with. Im not good listening to very important post care instructions from multiple people all at the same time. But that’s what the last 20 minutes were. There were some pre surgery issues that should have been fully vetted for me to have a clear understanding of what I should expect following the procedure. I didn’t leave enough “recovery time” afterwards, and that was not what I understood prior to the surgery. I was asked if I had any more questions more than once, but never going through this before, I wasn’t clear to what questions I could have been asking. Now I know. I’m guessing they don’t want to lose an appointment by explaining everything in detail ahead of time. I was understanding that my day two could be back to work, everything would be back to normal. That is not the case. If they had, I would have postponed my surgery date two weeks past to give me more time to recover. Updated: 10-27-25 I visited for my one year assessment. While I still standby my review above regarding the rushed period immediately following the transplant, my visit yesterday was a 5. Bosley has a new Dr at this location. He did a wonderful job assessing my 11 month old procedure. He covered my successful transplant. He pointed out an area in the back of my head ( that did not receive any transplants last November) that could be a problem in the future, spoke of my options if it continues to lose hair, and prescribed a medication that could help restore hair to the area. I felt confident in his appraisal, and plan to schedule another review next year.

The Dr did a great job going over my progress along with giving me important paths to improve and maintain the work that was done.

The whole team was very attentive and extremely accommodating. My harvest her honey was awesome and my doctor Dr. Dudas is a great is a great guy.
