Gender Affirming Hair Restoration

Sunday, March 31st, 2024 is International Transgender Day of Visibility. At my practice, Bosley Denver, I strive to be an ally to the LGTBQ+ community in all ways. One of the most meaningful gifts I’ve been able to offer my patients is helping them reach a place where they feel that the way they present matches what they feel on the inside. Hair is important to a person’s sense of self, and we use it as a versatile medium to express our identities, whatever they may be. I understand how important it is for transgender individuals that their hairline matches their sense of self, and to be trusted with a piece of someone’s transition journey is an honor.

There are many transfeminine people who may have receded or thinned hairlines, who wish to achieve a fuller aesthetic look. I am excited to be able to use my skills to restore a lower, softer, more curved hairline and improve thickness and density in thinning areas. In addition, I can provide medical therapies, PRP injections and laser therapy for ongoing maintenance so that continued hair loss is reduced and your hair is protected for the long term.

For some transmasculine individuals, hair loss caused by life-saving testosterone therapy is not a desired effect. Fortunately, at Bosley Denver, we are well versed at addressing androgenetic alopecia and can quickly address it, preventing further loss. In addition, FUE or FUT procedures can restore a strong, healthy hairline, and improve density.
